Dr. Shadi Hanandeh
Dr. Shadi Hanandeh is a highly experienced professional researcher, consultant, and instructor with over 15 years of expertise in geotechnical and pavement engineering. His specializations include soil stabilization, utilizing sustainable materials, and the application of geosynthetics. Dr. Hanandeh holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University, an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering) from Jordan University for Science and Technology, and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Al-Mustansiriya University. He has led and participated in numerous consulting, research, and capacity-building projects with national and international organizations, including the Scientific Research and Innovation Support Fund/Ministry of Higher Education Jordan.
Wassel AL-Bodour, Ph.D.
Wassel AL-Bodour, Ph.D. of Geotechnical Engineering with more than 12 years of expertise in geotechnical modelling, geotechnical earthquake engineering and soil dynamics, landslides, soil shoring, ground improvement, and geo-structures. Dr AL-Bodour has been involved in multiple projects involving the analysis, design, and inspection of Seismic hazards, site response, soil dynamics, soil liquefaction, Landfills, anchored walls and soil shoring, landslides and stabilization systems, earth slopes, MSE walls, instrumentations and deep soil mixing for earth and foundation support. Wassel has significant experience in the geotechnical modelling for the geo-phenomena, nonlinear analyses, FEM simulations, Dynamics of Geo-mechanical systems, Methodological Formulations of the Geo-phenomena, tunnelling, ground vibrations, wave propagation, subsurface investigation, advanced geo-models and interpretations, analysis seismic design of earth structures and dikes. Dr. AL Bodour had worked, as the Principal Investigator, on several funded projects and studies that spans over different areas of expansive soils, marl formation, soil deformability and modeling. Much of his work is to improve the design, performance, and understanding of the prevailing concepts in that field of engineering. Dr. AL Bodour is the author and co-author of several journal papers and conferences in the field of geotechnical engineering
